Boy Scout Troop 497, founded in 1959, presently numbers over
seventy boys.
We are a "Boy Run" operation and pride ourselves on the
accomplishments of our young men over the years.
Heavy emphasis on Leadership, Character Development, and Personal
Responsbility are some of the keys to our success.
We are an active organization with weekly meetings, monthly camping
adventures, and a yearly long term trip to places as far away as
Tennessee, Maine, Canada, Michigan, and Washington.
