March 2024 - Walkersville Watershed, Walkersville, Maryland

Our March 2024 camping trip was to Walkersville Watershed in Walkersville, Maryland on the the 15-17 March. This was our first time camping here and the consensus of scouts and adults is that we are coming back. Saturday's main program was emergency shelter building. After the shelters were judge there were a couple of capture the flag games played involving the shelters. Some scouts slept overnight in several of the shelters.

This was a tent camping trip with patrol cooking. We camped in two troop sites: 1011, and 1070. The temperature only dipped to 38°F on Saturday morning and 44°F on Sunday morning. We had very small amounts of rain on Friday night. Saturday was a warm, sunny day and Sunday was a bit cloudy but very pleasant.
