March 2023 - Camp Tuckahoe, Dillsburg, PA

Our March 2023 camping trip was to Camp Tuckahoe in Dillsburg, PA on the the 17-19 March.The amin activity for the weekend was practicing skills and procedures for the April Gunpowder Falls District Camporee in April. The scouts practiced scouting skills but they were also scored on how they interacted during the events, how there patrol area was setup, their patrol flags, and other items important to doing well at the camporee.

We had a little bit of rain on Friday evening around the time the troop arrived but not enough to force us to change our setup routines. Saturday turned sunny and beautiful. Saturday morning's low temperature was 32°F but warmed quickly. The skies cleared in the afternoon and the temperature dropped overnight. We awoke to a clear and cold 16°F morning.
