December 2017 - Senior Surprise at campsite Dan Beard, Broad Creek Memorial Scout Reservation
The weather forecasters were predicting snow for Friday night when we left the shed. It did not snow Friday night but the temperatures kept dropping until morning when it reached 29°F. It finally started snowing around 9 AM on Saturday and didn't stop snowing until around 9 PM with clearing around 10:30. We received about 3 inches of light dry snow. It was enough for some sledding and to turn the camp white. It became colder after the snow stopped dipping down to 21°F overnight. Sunday morning was crisp and clear. Everyone had a great time with the snow making it extra special.
