April 2017 Calvert Cliffs State Park
Summer came for a few days in April while we were camping at Calvert Cliffs State Park on the Chesapeake Bay. The temperature overnight on Friday dropped to only 69ºF from a high in the 80s during the day. Saturday was even warmer with shade temperatures in the 90s and a high temperature in the sun of 107.4ºF. The cool bay water felt great during the day. Early Saturday morning, just after sunrise, more than a dozen Scouts and adults could be found catching catfish and sunfish in the ponds below camp. The major activity for the weekend was a game of murder mystery. Five Scouts were cooked wonderful PASS meals on Saturday which fed most of the boys.
