May 2016 - Canoeing the Shenandoah River

Because of the cold and wet conditions we changed our plans to canoe on the Cacapon to canoeing on the Shenandoah. The Shenandoah is an easier river and more forgiving in tough, cold conditions. We were fortunate that it did not rain hard on us while on the river - only while in camp. Everyone learned to control their canoes after a short while on the river and we made the entire trip without any incidents. We also changed our camping location to the Brunswick Campground which was very convenient for our outfitter.
